A reference tone plays in one ear.
New here?
This app plays slightly different frequencies in each ear. Your brain perceives that tiny difference as a single rhythm — a binaural beat — and gently follows that rhythm into a matching brainwave state. Focus, relaxation, even sleep, guided entirely by sound.
The beat isn't produced by a speaker — it's created inside your brain. The left tone must reach only the left ear, and the right tone only the right ear, so your brain can compute the difference between the two frequencies. That's why headphones or earbuds are essential.
A reference tone plays in one ear.
A tone 4Hz higher plays in the other ear.
Brainwaves fall into five bands based on speed. Slower waves lean toward deep rest and sleep, while faster waves lean toward alertness and focus. Every mode in the app targets somewhere on this scale.
Six modes, each pre-tuned to a specific brainwave band. Tap a card and it starts playing right away. The band each one targets is shown on the card's chip.
For when you need to be sharply awake and locked in. A beta wave suited to studying, work, and problem-solving.
For quieting your thoughts and turning inward. A theta wave for meditation and intuition.
For releasing tension and settling your mind. A relaxed yet alert alpha wave.
For the nights sleep won't come easily. The slowest delta wave, guiding you into deep sleep.
For when you need a lift. A gamma wave suited to exercise and running.
For when you need inspiration. Sits at the alpha-theta border to encourage free-flowing thought.
Normally, the frequency stays the same for the whole session. Journey mode is different — the frequency drifts gradually over time, following the body's natural arc into sleep or out of it.
Lie down, hit play, and over 30 minutes the frequency descends slowly from Alpha (10Hz) to Delta (2Hz). It carries your brain step by step from wakefulness all the way into deep sleep.
The reverse: over 10 minutes it climbs from Theta (4Hz) to Beta (16Hz), gently waking a groggy mind. While it plays, the screen shows in real time which band you're currently in.
Solfeggio frequencies each carry a meaning handed down over generations. We use each tone as a reference pitch and layer a theta beat tuned to 7.83Hz (the Schumann resonance), often called the Earth's natural frequency, over it for a calm, ambient backdrop.
Liberating Guilt — a tone for releasing fear and guilt.
Facilitating Change — a tone that helps you make a fresh start.
Transformation and Love — often called the "miracle frequency."
Connecting Relationships — associated with communication and connection.
Awakening Intuition — a tone that awakens self-expression.
Returning to Spiritual Order — associated with inner clarity.
If a pure tone feels a little bare, layer in a sound of nature. Choose from rain, waves, wind, or white noise to sit beneath the beat, with its own independent volume. Switch it mid-session and it never clicks or stutters.
On a day you want to focus purely on the beat, turn ambient off. On a night you want to drift off wrapped in rain, lower the beat and raise the rain. Since the two levels move independently, you can find your own balance.
Every sound is generated in real time, so it takes no storage space, and never sounds like an obviously looping clip no matter how long it plays.
Once playback starts, the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the current mode, elapsed time, and — if a sleep timer is running — the time remaining, all updated in real time. (iOS 16.1 or later)
Like music, it keeps playing in the background, and you can control it directly from the play/pause button in Control Center and on the Lock Screen. Switch apps or turn off the screen, and the session keeps going.
Turn on the sleep timer and the sound fades gently away when time's up, ending the session on its own.
Set your own reference tone and beat frequency to build a mode that's entirely yours. Target exactly the brainwave band you want.
Pick 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, and once that time passes the sound fades away and stops on its own.
Keeps playing with the screen off, and you can stop and resume instantly from Control Center or the Lock Screen.
Essential for the binaural effect. Speakers can't produce the beat.
Need focus? Try Deep Focus. Can't sleep? Try Fall-Asleep Journey or Deep Sleep. Tap a card and it starts right away.
Binaural beats don't need to be loud. A soft, background presence works best. Layer in some rain if you like.
Keeps playing even with the screen off. If you're planning to sleep, set the sleep timer; for a short break, just leave it and tap stop when you're done.
